Helen Mudlock, 97, went to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on October 2, 2025.
Helen was born in Shantytown on April 10, 1928 to the late Metro and Mildred Drahusczak Baron. After graduating from Jenkins Twp. High School, she worked as a seamstress for Joseph Marykwas Factory among others.
Helen had a heart for God, and she began every day by reading her Bible and praying for her family and friends. She was a faithful member of the Independent Bible Church of Duryea and served the Lord in every way she could. She loved children and enjoyed helping in the nursery at church.
Helen was an excellent gardener, seamstress, and baker of bread, nut roll, and poppyseed on every Christmas and Easter. She worked hard daily and joyfully helped everyone.
She was preceded in death by her husband William, Sr., and all her siblings- Mary Williams, John Baron, Peter Baron, Anthony Baron, Anna Figura, William Baron, and Margaret Romano.
Helen is already deeply missed by her sons William, Jr. (Rose Ann), Stephen (Christine), and Joseph (Donna), grandchildren William III (Renee), Holly, Michael (Jenny), Dr. Amanda, Laura, and Joseph, Jr. (Ann Marie), great-grandchildren Hannah and Nadalee Foersch, Giavanna, Isabella, Sophia, and Summer Mudlock, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A viewing will be held on Monday, October 6 from 5-7pm at Mamary-Durkin Funeral & Cremation Services, 59 Parrish St. Wilkes-Barre. The funeral will begin Tuesday, October 7 at 10am at the Independent Bible Church of Duryea, 328 Main St., Duryea. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church on Tuesday. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Exeter.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Independent Bible Church of Duryea.
