Sandra (Kenney) Gula, 75, passed away on October 17, 2025 after a brief illness.
Daughter of the late Joseph and Juanita Kuhns Kenney of Hanover Twp., Sandy was a proud Hanover Hawkeye graduate of the class of 1967 from Hanover High School. She was also a long-standing member of the Reunion Committee.
For many years, Sandy was employed by Hartman’s Restaurant, Hanover Twp. and later at Mercy Hospital and Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre, from where she retired.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Diane (Kenney) Keller and Pat (Kenney) Duffy.
She will forever be missed by her husband Thomas, Hanover Twp., children Christopher (Christina) Spencer, Mountain Top, Michelle (Peter) Giatrakis, Swoyersville, her precious grandchildren whom she adored Elizabeth Giatrakis and Connor Spencer, her sister Marie (John) Kapioski, Georgia, and her great friend Brenda Chipego, whom she loved very much.
In accordance with her wishes, private services will be held at the convenience of her family. Arrangements are by Mamary-Durkin Funeral & Cremation Services 59 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
Those desiring may send donations in her memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, St. Joseph’s Center, or Whiskers World, Inc.
