Edward R. Markovich, 78 of Hanover Twp., passed away on September 7, 2026 at Allied Hospice Meade St. Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Michael and Dorothy (Landmesser) Markovich.
After attending GAR, Edward worked various jobs. He enjoyed fishing and camping with his family. Edward loved spending time with his grandchildren and doing anything that afforded him more time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his siblings Beverly, Shirley, Joan, Kathleen, Roger, and Mickey.
He leaves behind his son Edward, Jr. and his wife Ann Marie, daughter Lorrie Irving and her husband Rick, son Stephen, their mother Alice, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother John, and several nieces and nephews.
All services are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Mamary-Durkin Funeral & Cremation Services, 59 Parrish Street Wilkes-Barre.
