Mary Caffrey Yale January 15, 2025

Mary Caffrey Yale, 69 of Ashley, passed away on February 28 at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
She was a daughter of the late James A. and Catherine Landmesser Caffrey.
Mary graduated from St. Mary’s High School, Wilkes-Barre. For a time, Mary worked as a
bartender at The Cracker Jack in Miners Mills. Primarily, her focus was at home, raising her
family and babysitting the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary will be deeply missed by her husband Robert Yale, daughter Catherine Christian and her
partner Randy Kashnicki, Nanticoke, son David Watkins and his wife Jennifer, Ashley, daughter
Judith Tammaro and her husband Tim, Ashley, step-children Jerry Yale and wife Elis, South
Carolina and Brandi Avery and husband Mike, Hunlock Creek, grandchildren Ryan Christian,
Ashlynn Lawerence and husband Jamie, Alexis Baker and husband David, David and Declan
Watkins, Deanna Richards, Timothy Tammaro, Jr., Haley, Emma, Penny, and Mazie Yale, and
MacKenzie and Michael Avery, great-grandchildren Ryker Baker and Briar Lawerence, brother
James Caffrey and wife Mary, and nieces.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, March 18 from 4-6pm at Mamary-Durkin
Funeral & Cremation Services, 59 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre.
