Frances Uzdella Conklin April 21, 2025

Frances Uzdella Conklin, 99 of Hanover Twp., passed away on March 26, 2023 in her
daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family.
Frances was born in Wilkes-Barre on December 23, 1923, a daughter of the late Benjamin and
Frances Uzdella. She was preceded in death by her husband George N. Conklin, brother
Benjamin Uzdella, and sister Anna Pape.
Frances is survived by her loving children George and his wife Julie, Franklin Twp., Robert and
his companion Sharon Weihbrecht, Harveys Lake, Donna and her husband Donnie Ricko,
Hanover Twp., and Michael and his wife Lorraine, Hanover Twp.
Frances graduated from Hanover Twp. High School in 1941. She was a member of St. Al’s
Mother’s Guild and volunteered at many bazaars, car sales, and bingos. She was also a
member of American Legion Post 609, VFW of Hanover Twp., and was a volunteer at the
Veterans’ Hospital. She worked at numerous sewing factories throughout the area.
The family would like to sincerely thank the Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their Loving and
Compassionate care and endless support.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 29 at 11am at St. Robert
Bellarmine Parish/St. Aloysius Church, Hanover Twp. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s
Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
