Joy L. Ostrander September 17, 2023

Joy L. Ostrander, 71 of Hanover Twp., passed away peacefully on September 17 at Kingston
Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Joy was a daughter of the late Thomas and Phyllis Croop Williamson.
Joy graduated from GAR High School and then worked in the cafeteria of both GAR and Meyers
High Schools. She also assisted in planning activities for Manor Care and Dundee Apartments.
Joy leaves behind her sister Cathy Sauerwine and husband Eugene, brother Jay Williamson
and wife Robin, and brother Ray Williamson, nieces Tammy Metz and Tonya Shanko, nephew
Eugene Sauerwine, Jr., great-nephews Donald and Tyler Sauerwine and Kodi and Ka-el
Shanko, and great-niece Julia Sauerwine.
Preceding her in death were her husband Robert Ostrander, infant son Robert, Jr., and her
brother Thomas Williamson.
A viewing will be held on Friday, September 22 from 4-6pm at Mamary-Durkin Funeral &
Cremation Services at 59 Parrish St. Wilkes-Barre. Private interment will be held in Maple Hill
Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
