Elizabeth “Betsy” Boyle November 23, 2023

Elizabeth “Betsy” Boyle, 70 of Mountain Top, passed away at home on November 23.
Betsy was the daughter of the late Jack and Betty Jo McGinley Dunbar.
She was a graduate of Meyers High School and retired after 31 years as an administrative
assistant for Wilkes-Barre Area School District. There, she was the Vice President of the
secretary/aide union until her retirement.
Betsy loved her Wednesday night card group, going to the casino, and vacationing at Harveys
Lake with her granddaughter.
Betsy will be deeply missed by her husband of 39 years Jim Boyle, granddaughter McKenzie
Boyle, brother Jerry Dunbar, sister Amy Jo Mitchel (Gary), Aunt Nancy Dupui, niece Jill
Dobrinski, Nephew Jay Shepulski, cousin Russell Dupui, hee beloved dog “The Mic”, and many
friends who were like family.
Preceding her in death were her son James Boyle, siblings Jacker Dunbar and Nancy
Shepulski, and niece Jessica Lombardo.
A celebration of life will be held from 4-6pm on Tuesday, November 28 at Mamary-Durkin
Funeral & Cremation Services, 59 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre.
Those desiring may make contributions in her name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or to the
American Legion Mountain Top Post 781.
