George W. Williams February 4, 2024

George W. Williams, 76 of Nanticoke, passed away peacefully on February 4 in Wilkes-Barre
General Hospital with his family by his side.
George was the son of the late George and Antoinette (Searfoss) Williams. He graduated from
GAR High School and then went on to become an electrician, working for Schwab Electric, RR
Donnelly, and A. Rifkin Co.
George proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War as a submariner aboard the USS
Ray.
George was the best husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. He was a Penn State fan
and a member of the Submariners Club.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years Loretta (Wiechert), son George Williams, Jr.,
daughter Patty Insalaco, grandsons George Anthony Williams and Leo Anthony Insalaco,
brother Carl Graziano, sister Antionette Urenovich, nieces, nephews, Missy the cat, and many
dear friends.
Fr. Cirba will officiate a blessing service on Thursday, February 8 at 10am at Mamary-Durkin
Funeral & Cremation Services, 59 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn
Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
