Robert J. Slabinski, 84 of Hanover Twp. passed away at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital on November 5, 2024.
Bob was a son of the late Barney and Steffie Schesney Slabinski and a 1958 graduate of Hanover Twp. High School.
Bob served in the Army during the Vietman War, and then worked for Benco Dental until his retirement.
He was a member of All Saints Parish, Plymouth, Hanover Twp. Notre Dame Club, Lee Park Fire Co. #4, American Legion Wyalusing Post 534, and Amvets Post 59 Hanover Twp.
Bob loved to hunt and fish at the farm in Wyalusing and he looked forward to the Notre Dame bus trips.
Bob is survived by his nephew Michael Amshay and his wife Ann, MI, great-niece and goddaughter Margaret Amshay, MA, numerous cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his sister Dorothy Amshay and her husband Albert and brother Barney Slabinski.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10am on Monday, November 11 at All Saints Parish, 66 Willow St. Plymouth. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Everyone attending the Mass is asked to go directly to the church on Monday.
Friends may call on Sunday, November 10 from 3-6pm at Mamary-Durkin Funeral & Cremation Services, 59 Parrish St. Wilkes-Barre.
