Anthony “Moe” Zlobik, 90, originally of Hanover Twp., passed away at home on Monday,
February 6.
Anthony was a son of the late Anthony and Helen Rydzewska Zlobik. After graduating in 1951
from Hanover Twp. High School, he served in Germany in the Army’s 8 th Engineers Battalion.
Anthony worked as a truck driver all his life, mostly for Atlantic Refining and Marketing Corp. He
received an award for 66 years of safe driving.
He was a member of the NRA, Moose Lodge, and the Atlantic Independence Union. Anthony
loved cruises, and he went on 99 of them with Carnival.
He was preceded in death by his wife Rose Mary Sakel and his son Mark.
Anthony leaves behind his daughters Roseann Caffrey, Vicky Soppeck and husband George,
and Helen Ward and husband Thomas, brothers James and Donald, 6 grandchildren, 12 great-
grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, a niece and nephew, and Max the beagle.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to John Holmes for being the most
exceptional caregiver to Anthony in the final days of his life.
Family and friends are invited for a visitation on Friday, February 10 from 4-5:30pm at Mamary-
Durkin Funeral & Cremation Services, 59 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre. A blessing service will be
held at 5:30pm.
