Deborah Ward, 65 of Hanover Twp., passed away on September 3, 2023 at Allied Hospice
Meade St. surrounded by her loving family.
Debbie was born on June 27, 1958, a daughter of the late Alfred and Mary Coniff Searles.
Debbie leaves behind her husband of 38 years Timothy Ward, daughters Ashleigh and Kelly
Ward, brother Jack Searles, sister Mary Lou Raykovicz, nieces, nephews, and her cat Jackie.
Debbie graduated from Hanover Area High School in 1976. She was a member of St. Aloysius
Church and sang in the choir. She worked for United Penn Bank and then Mellon Bank until
1996.
She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed going with her family to Wildwood, Cape May,
and Knoebles to ride the Pioneer Train.
The family would like to sincerely thank Allied Hospice Meade St. for their compassion and
guidance in Debbie’s final days.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, September 7 at 9:30am from Mamary-Durkin Funeral &
Cremation Services at 59 Parrish St. Wilkes-Barre with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St.
Robert Bellarmine Parish/St. Aloysius Church, Hanover Twp. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s
Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5-7pm.
In lieu of flowers, those who desire may make memorial donations to St. Jude’s Children’s
Hospital or to their local SPCA.
