Denise Antall-Allen, 61, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025 at Kettering Health Dayton Hospital, in Dayton Ohio. Born on August 19, 1964, in Kingston, PA. Denise was the daughter of George and Jeanne (Pisarcik) Antall.
Denise grew up in Hanover Green where her love for sports began. From a young age, Denise could be found on the field or the court—swinging a bat, shooting hoops, and encouraging teammates with her trademark determination and positivity. She excelled in baseball, softball, and basketball throughout her youth and carried that athletic spirit into her college years, where she continued to play with skill, grit, and grace. Denise was also an avid hunter who grew up spending time in the woods with her father and brother George. Denise attended Hanover Area High school class of 1982.
Denise attended Misericordia University, Lock Haven University, and Luzerne County Community College, where she pursued studies in Education. Over the years, her career took several paths — from working at Hanover Area High School, to serving as a manager at the Sears Logistics warehouse, and later joining Geisinger.
Denise’s love for the game extended far beyond her own achievements. After college, she devoted many years to coaching girls’ basketball, helping young athletes develop confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love of the sport. Denise was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan, Denise proudly wore her scarlet and gray, cheering passionately through every season. Denise loved playing paintball with the Blue’s Crew, always side by side with her husband and their son, Colin.
In 2020, Denise was diagnosed with breast cancer. She bravely faced her treatments and went on to win her fight, becoming a proud survivor.
Denise is survived by her parents George and Jeanne Antall (Hanover Township); husband James (Dayton, OH); her children Robin and Colin Allen (Hanover township); four grandchildren; Rylie, Payton, Mackenzie, and Aviana who were the light of her life. Her brother George and wife Michelle Antall (Charlotte, NC); nephews Jeremy and wife Hayley Antall (Rock hill, SC), Jared and his fiancé Kailyn Antall (Knoxville, TN); sister Jennifer Antall (Hanover township), god-daughter Paige and husband Antonio Costantino (Hanover township), great niece Ivy Costantino; Father in law Ronnie Burchfield; brother and sister in law Shaun and Stephanie Burchfield, along with many family and dear friends. Denise was preceded in death by her grand parents Frank and Genevieve Pisarcik, George and Hannah Antall, mother in law Peggy Burchfield; brother in law Scott Burchfield.
Denise’s legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched—her family, friends, players, and fellow sports enthusiasts who will forever remember her competitive drive, warmth, and laughter.
A memorial service will be held February 7th, at 10 am at the Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church in Buttonwood; 420 Main Road, Hanover Township. Friends may call from 9 am until the service. The burial will be at the convenience of the family.
