Marie C. Pascoe, a resident of Sheatown (Nanticoke), passed away Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, at home following an illness.
Born on July 23rd, 1951, Marie was the daughter of the late John and Victoria Urbanski.
Following her graduation from Nanticoke High School, Marie attended Mercy Hospital School of Nursing graduating as a Registered Nurse. Over her 40- year career, she cared for patients in multiple hospitals, which included Mercy Hospital, General Hospital and the Veterans Administration Hospital all within the Wyoming Valley. Marie’s calm presence, genuine kindness, and expert skills provided care and comfort to patients and their families in their most vulnerable moments.
Outside of her professional life, Marie was a pillar of love, support, and strength for her family, her greatest joy. She dedicated her life to making sure everyone felt cared for and loved. To her friends, Marie was always willing to lend a helping hand or share a kind word to those who needed it most.
Marie’s home was never without a four- legged friend. Whether it was taking in a stray or adopting from a rescue, she gave them all a life full of love and care. Marie also never came to a gathering empty handed. She loved to cook, bake, and share amazing recipes.
Marie is survived by her husband for over forty years David Pascoe, son Scott Brennan and his fiancé Lisa Rossmann with granddaughters Finnley Brennan and Dylan Rossmann, son Daniel Pascoe and his fiancé Ashley Wutke, brother David Urbanski and his wife Pamela, and sister Paulette Augustine and her husband Kevin, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Marie was preceded in death by her parents John and Victoria, and several aunts and uncles.
Friends may call Monday, October 7th from 5-7pm at Mamary-Durkin Funeral & Cremation Services, 59 Parrish St. Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania.
A service will take place Tuesday, October 8th, 2024, also at Mamary-Durkin at 10:30am. Following the service, Marie will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
