Marylin Duda 82, of Larksville, passed away Jan. 18, 2023 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley
Medical Center.
Marilyn was born in Orange, New Jersey to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Gregory Valent. The
family then moved to Larksville where Marilyn attended and graduated from Larksville High
School in 1956. There, she met her sweetheart, and later, husband, John B. Duda.
Marilyn worked at Boscov's Department Store until her retirement. She was an avid reader, and
after reading the books, she would pass them on to her friends. She was also known for her
needlepoint bibs and blankets for any new additions to her family.
Marilyn was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Larksville.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband John and son John.
She leaves behind her children Thomas and wife Diane, David and wife Kathleen, Joseph and
wife Karen; and Bethanne; daughter-in-law Susan, eight grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023 at St. John's the Baptist Church in
Larksville. Friends may call from 10:30 am until time of service at 11:00 am.

Multiple Sclerosis Foundation
