Mary Hergan February 11, 2025

Mary Hergan, 91 of Wyoming, passed away at home on April 19. Her husband Andrew preceded her in death in 1997.

Mary was the daughter of the late Anthony and Grace DiRenzo DiPietro. After graduating from Wyoming High School in 1949 she worked as a bookkeeper for Quality Beverage, Fetch’s Foods, and Insalaco Development.

She was a member of St. Barbara’s Parish, Exeter and was an avid bowler in the Lady Birds Bowling League. Her greatest love and biggest joy was her family, and she always insisted on feeding everyone when they came to her house.

Mary leaves behind her son Andrew and his wife Lucy, Bloomsburg, son James and his wife Lisa, Florida, daughter Graceann Platukus and husband Jay, Jenkins Twp., grandchildren Angela, Gina, Andy, Maria, Nicci, Connor, Troy, and Alana, 8 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters Anna Russo and Louise Megatluski and brothers Daniel and Geno DiPietro

The family wishes to extend their heart-felt gratitude to Dr. Adjei, Tatiana, and Teona for providing exceptional, loving care to Mary in her final days.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, April 24th, at St. Barbara’s Parish, Exeter, PA. The family will receive visitors from 10:30am until time of service at the church. The interment will be at the convenience of the family in the Italian Independent Cemetery.
