Sadie J. Bergstrasser, 98 of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Saturday, March 25 at Allied Services
Meade St.
Sadie was born to George and Helen Allen Sattof. She was a graduate of E.L. Meyers High
School, class of 1943 and active in planning their class reunions.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Antiochian Orthodox Church and a charter member of Father
Nahas Senior Citizens Club. She was also a member of Blosson Chapter #90-Order of Eastern
Star.
Sadie was 1 of the first 11 employees of the American Tobacco Co., a retired worker of the
American Cancer Society, and the American Heart Assoc., located at the Kirby Health Center.
Sadie’s husband Richard preceded her in death in 2010. She was also preceded by her siblings
Dolfi and Sam Sattof, Angeline Harris, Mary Akson, Sara Abraham, Selma Barrouk, and Rose
Brody.
She is survived by her daughter Connie Mais and husband Randy, Langhorn, PA and son
Richard and wifeCheryl, Bordentown, NJ, granddaughter Christina Albanesius and husband
Ernie, 2 great-grandchildren Cooper and Sadie, and nieces and nephews.
At the convenience of the family, Sadie will be laid to rest in Memorial Shrine Cemetery. There
are no calling hours or services.
