Michelle A. Mauck, 61 of Taylor, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 10, 2026.
She was a daughter of the late Michael LaVigne and Nancy Lee (Davis) Wall and a graduate of Scranton Technical School, where she played in the band.
Michelle was an Army veteran who was stationed in Saudi Arabia and served during Desert Storm and then went on to serve 7 more years in the reserves following the war. She was a Captain in the Salvation Army, Darby Citadel.
Michelle was a member of Independent Bible Church of Duryea. She was a strong-willed person who enjoyed crocheting, reading, listening to music, and watching movies.
She is already missed by her daughter Crystal, sisters Sandy Sheppard, Tracey Evans, and Evelyn Evans, step-father Ernest Wall, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her infant son Robert.
The funeral service will be held at the Independent Bible Church of Duryea, 328 Main St. Duryea, at Noon on Saturday, September 19, 2026 with military honors to follow at the church. The service will be broadcast live on YouTube.
